I AM GOING TO KOREA! 🇰🇷

The WAIT is now over! After a half year, I have finally come to the very last stage of KGSP. Today, I am excited to be officially called the 2016 KGSP Graduate Scholar.

I am going to spend my first year of the Korean language program at Dongseo University in Busan. I was so excited to know that because Busan is the 2nd largest city after Seoul and I am glad to live in these 2 major cities. Sadly, I will be the only Cambodian student to study there. This is kinda strange because, in the previous years, they assigned 2 or 3 students from one country in one language institution. However, I am so lucky to have many friends over there. Also, I am so glad to make new friends with other people from all around the world who is going to study the Korean language at Dongseo University too. I am now chatting with them in KakaoTalk. They make me feel like I am already in Korea.

Now, it is time for me to get myself ready for the preparation. I am now waiting for the invitation letter from NIIED then I will process my visa. After that, I will wait for the E-flight ticket. Then, I will be flying to Korea in between 22th-24th of August.

My new life journey is about to begin. It is going to be a very new/adventurous/challenging/exciting journey. I have 2 months left here in Cambodia. I am spending it as wonderful as I can with my family and friends. I don’t know what will happen in the next 3 years but I know that I am going to face many new things both good and not so good things. And yeah, I am more than ready to face and deal with it.

I am going to write a lot about my new adventure life and experiences in a new wonderland.

See you soon, Busan, South Korea! 🇰🇷 💕

  1. Congratulations! I look forward to hearing about your impressions of Korea. I have never gotten to visit South Korea, although I travel to Japan frequently. Nice to meet another traveler! Jessy

    1. Thank you so much, Jessy! It is going to be my very first time living abroad independently. I really can’t wait for it. I plan to visit Japan one day too. ❤️💕
